Joan M. Griner, MD

After receiving her medical degree from Wayne State University, Dr. Griner completed her internship at Northwestern University and dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital.  She returned to her hometown in 1996 to practice medicine, and is the founder of Associates in Dermatology of Traverse City.  She enjoys all aspects of dermatologic care, including office surgery and medical dermatology.  Away from the office, Dr. Griner enjoys outdoor activities, including biking and skiing.  She is a member of the First Congregational Church choir, and hopes to continue to improve her culinary skills.

 

 
Raymond J. Dean, MD

Dr. Dean grew up in Mid-Michigan where he attended Saginaw Valley State University earning a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry.  He graduated with honors from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1998 before beginning an Internship at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn.  He completed his Dermatology residency at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.  Dr. Dean received his board certification and joined Associates in Dermatology in 2002.  He feels privileged to live in Northern Michigan with his wife and 3 children and the many opportunities it provides him to bike, cross-country ski, garden, and hunt.
 

Jeffrey J. Kelly, DO

Dr. Kelly is a board certified dermatologist joining the practice after 10 years of service in the US Army.  A Michigan native, he earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Central Michigan University before graduating from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He completed a Family Medicine internship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and a Dermatology residency at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC and the National Naval Medical center in Bethesda, Maryland.  Dr. Kelly, his wife and two young children are excited to take advantage of the vast outdoor and seasonal activities that Traverse City has to offer.
